Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins in Manchester is seeking an Associate specialising in residential leasehold management within our Property Disputes team. You will advise on a full range of services to deliver high-quality, practical dispute resolution for private, public and social housing clients.

The role focuses on service charge disputes, enfranchisement, Right to Manage, and related landlord and tenant matters, with opportunities to handle wider real estate disputes and contribute to business development

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' post-qualification experience from a reputable firm.
• Experience of complex residential property disputes.
• Strong technical skills in property disputes.
• Ability to supervise junior team members.
• Commercial awareness and client focus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and write clearly in plain English.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on residential landlord and tenant matters including service charge disputes, repossessions, enfranchisement and Right to Manage.
• Potential involvement in related commercial landlord/tenant work and rights to light disputes.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and North-West market intermediaries.
• Participate in BD initiatives and departmental meetings.
• Delegate client work to junior fee-earners and contribute to their development.
• Ensure files comply with Lexcel procedures and firm policies.
