Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins in Manchester is looking for an experienced Associate to join the Property Disputes team, specialising in residential leasehold management. You will advise on service charges, enfranchisement, Right to Manage and related disputes for private, social and public housing clients.

You will work with a broad real estate disputes practice, supervise junior fee-earners, develop client relationships and contribute to firm-wide initiatives while helping to grow the Manchester practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience at a reputable firm.
• Experience of complex residential property disputes.
• Ability to supervise junior team members.
• Strong technical skills in property disputes.
• Commercial awareness and client focus.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; plain English writing.

Responsibilities

• Handle residential landlord and tenant matters (service charges, repossessions, enfranchisement, Right to Manage) for private, public and social housing sectors.
• Potential involvement in commercial landlord and tenant work and rights to light disputes for developers and insurers.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and NW market intermediaries.
• Participate in business development initiatives and firm/department meetings.
• Delegate work to junior fee-earners and contribute to their development.
