Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins LLP is seeking an Associate in Manchester to specialise in residential leasehold management within the Property Disputes Team. You will handle complex disputes, supervise junior fee-earners and work with public, private and social housing clients, while building strong client relationships and contributing to business development.

The role emphasizes building knowledge in leasehold management, building safety, and managing a growing Manchester practice within a national firm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-qualification experience or equivalent.
• Experience of complex residential property disputes.
• Strong technical skills.
• Ability to supervise junior team members.
• Drive and enthusiasm with client focus.
• Commercial awareness.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Good interpersonal and client-facing skills.
• Interest in marketing; ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Work on residential landlord and tenant matters (service charges, repossessions, enfranchisement, Right to Manage).
• Involve in commercial related landlord and tenant work and rights to light disputes as applicable.
• Build relationships with clients and market intermediaries in the North-West.
• Participate in business development, meetings and training.
• Delegate work to junior fee-earners and support their development.
• Contribute to department and firm-wide performance goals.
• Ensure files comply with Lexcel procedures.
• Maintain strong client relationships.
