Job summary

St Peter’s CofE Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated role to support students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work in the classroom or outside it, providing personalised strategies and interventions, and will communicate clearly with staff and students while modelling excellent behaviour and relationships.

The academy is a mixed 11-16 Church of England school rated Good by Ofsted and SIAMS, with a strong CPD programme and a focus on staff wellbeing.

Job description

The successful candidate will:

Use specialist knowledge and experience to provide appropriate support to students with special educational needs. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

We are looking for candidates with experience and enthusiasm who are able to communicate clearly with staff and students.

You will be responsible for working with students with additional educational needs. Emphasis is placed on being highly motivated, enthusiastic to inspire with the ability to personalise strategies and interventions for each student individually.
