Job summary

Whalsay School in Shetland is seeking a part-time Learning Support Worker to assist with ASN-related education across nursery, primary and S4. You will work with teachers within a department or mainstream class, following an individualised education programme and coordinating with speech therapists, occupational therapists and other professionals as needed.

The post is 12 hours per week, 39 weeks per year plus pro rata holiday; flexible working is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the learning and education of children with additional support needs (ASN).
• Work with teachers and specialists to implement individualised education programmes.
• Support children in department or mainstream classes as required.
