Every year we support over 250 young adults in Surrey, helping improve their lives for good. Learning new skills, becoming more independent and leading them to live the life they’ve always wanted.
Role Type: Variable hours, Permanent
Location: Our sessions are based at community venues across Surrey, with this role being primarily based in Guildford and Woking.
Hours: Variable Hours contract working primarily on Wednesday and/or Thursdays, 10am-4pm, during term time.

You will beresponsible for:
Providing highly person-centred 1:1 support to supported adults.
Helping to promote life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision and community access.
Reporting actual or potential safeguarding matters through the appropriate channels.

Willing to complete DBS check (initial cost paid by halow) Pleasenote , it is a criminaloffence for people who are barred from working in RegulatedActivity (Under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act2006) to apply for a role that requires them to workunsupervised with that particular group (i.e. adults at risk,children or both).
Professional or personal experience of learning disabilities, and experience within a health and social care and/or educational setting is desirable, but we also pride ourselves on a values-based approach and the main skill we are looking for is an ambition to help others.
