Job summary

Exeter College in Barnstaple is hiring a Learning Support Specialist (Teaching Role) to work with students in small groups or 1:1 sessions. The role is term-time only (38 weeks) with permanent status and a pro rata salary of £27,656 to £29,302.

You will run drop-in workshops, support students with dyslexia and autism, manage a caseload of EHCPs, and advise teaching staff on facilitating success. Part- and full-time options are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or Cert Ed).
• Ability to support students with additional needs and EHCPs where relevant.
• Proactive, caring and an effective team player in a college setting.

Responsibilities

• Run drop-in workshops and support learning for students with specific challenges.
• Support and monitor a caseload of students with EHCPs.
• Advise and support teaching staff on enabling student success.
