Job summary

Education Matters Group in Loughton, Essex is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a Further Education College. The role involves assisting learners with access to lessons, 1:1 and small-group support, and fostering confidence and independence.

You will work with learners who have SEND/additional needs, EHCPs and learning difficulties, supporting classroom engagement and behaviour, with a patient and encouraging approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant or similar support role within a school or college.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND/additional needs.
• Caring, patient and encouraging approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to learners to access lessons and participate in class.
• Help learners access lessons, develop confidence and become more independent.
• Support development of independence and life skills as part of daily activities.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in the classroom.
