Job summary

Education Matters Group is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a college in Loughton, Essex, to support learners with their learning, development and daily access to education. You will work closely with teaching staff providing 1:1 and small-group support to help learners access lessons, build confidence and become more independent.

Candidates should have previous LSA/Teaching Assistant experience, experience supporting learners with SEND/additional needs, and a caring, patient

• Previous experience as an LSA/Teaching Assistant within a school or college.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND/additional needs.
• Caring, patient and encouraging approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to learners.
• Help learners access lessons, develop confidence and become more independent.
• Support learners with SEND/additional needs and classroom participation.
• Assist with behaviour and emotional wellbeing to create a positive learning environment.
