Job summary

Hanbury Primary School in West Bromwich is seeking an experienced Learning Support Practitioner to support children with complex communication needs and ASD within their class. The role offers 32.5 hours per week and requires DBS and safeguarding compliance.

We are looking for a learning support practitioner who is:

  • passionate about working with children with complex communication needs
  • is adaptable, and will give 100% in order to meet each child’s needs
  • able to make a positive difference to the children’s lives everyday
  • motivated and enthusiastic, patient but firm with rules and boundaries
  • able to develop positive, nurturing relationships with the children and their families
  • able to work as a team and be flexible to meet the needs of the children and the school.
  • able to work with outside agencies and act on advice given

Shortlisting for interviews will also be subject to a successful lesson observation

Hanbury Primary School is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all our children. All staff have a duty to safeguard our children and therefore we expect all staff to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy (available on the school website) and participate in annual safeguarding training. As part of the appointment procedure all staff have to undergo a DBS disclosure which will report cautions as well as convictions.
