Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking a Learning Support Officer on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. You will lead a team of Learning Facilitators, manage absence and performance reviews, and work closely with Lecturers to provide integrated learner support across all curriculum areas.

You will support students requiring learning assistance to achieve their qualification aims, including Adults and Apprenticeships, while contributing to an inclusive, high-performing college environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification with GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Experience or willingness to pursue relevant professional qualifications.
• Understanding of Inclusive Learning and ability to support learners with difficulties/disabilities.
• Enhanced DBS check/Children’s barred list check and Prohibition check for teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Learning Facilitators, managing absence and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with Learning Facilitators and Lecturers for integrated learner support across curriculum areas.
• Provide learning support to students with difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve qualification aims.

Learning Support Officer – Maternity Cover

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint full time Learning Support Officer. The Learning Support Officer will be required to manage a team of Learning Facilitators, which will include absence management, and Performance Management Reviews, ensuring that learning support is provided to learners across all curriculum areas. The Learning Support Officer will work closely with the Learning Facilitators and Lecturers to ensure a fully integrated approach to supporting individuals or groups of students. The Learning Support Officer will provide support for students who require learning support due to learning difficulties and/or disabilities, to ensure they achieve their qualification aims and reach their potential in all areas of the college curriculum to include Adults and Apprenticeships. This position is offered on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover until November 2027, or until the substantive post holder returns to work.
