Job summary

The Hub School in Hull is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Officer to work with vulnerable pupils aged 11-16, primarily alongside the class teacher to remove barriers to learning.

This part-time role (32.5 hours/week, term-time) offers a supportive team, on-site parking, pension, and opportunities for professional development through the apprenticeship levy and our Teacher Training Provider.

Qualifications

• Good standard of Education including Numeracy and Literacy at Level 2 (or equivalent).
• Experience working with vulnerable children/young people in an educational setting is desirable.
• Ability to support learning and overcome barriers to learning (social, emotional, mental health).

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in key stage 2/3 settings to aid learning.
• Help create and maintain a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to development activities outside normal hours as required.
