Job summary

Randstad is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work across Primary and Secondary settings. This role focuses on learning outcomes by identifying student needs and providing tailored scaffolding to help them access the curriculum.

You will lead small groups in literacy and numeracy, differentiate resources, and track progress for teachers to shape lessons. Term-time, long-term, with weekly pay and daily rates between £90 and £95.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths are required.
• Experience explaining academic concepts clearly and creatively.
• Ability to differentiate resources and support learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy, helping students catch up or keep pace with the curriculum.
• Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building.
• Differentiate resources by re-packaging lessons with simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks.
• Promote independence using scaffold and fade technique.
• Progress tracking with records of student breakthroughs and hurdles for teachers.
