Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work across Primary and Secondary settings, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy support and guiding students to catch up with the curriculum.

You will lead small groups, differentiate resources, and track progress to inform teaching. A DBS check is preferred, and the role offers term-time, full-time hours with weekly pay and competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at least at standard level.
• Proven ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively.
• Experience supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy to help students catch up.
• Differentiate resources to meet learners' needs with tailored worksheets and tools.
• Track student progress and provide data to teachers and SENCO to shape lessons.
• Support students to become more independent using scaffold and fade techniques.
