Job summary

SCL in Manchester, a post-16 education provider, is seeking a dedicated educator to support learners through guidance, classroom learning and collaborative planning with colleagues.

The role delivers effective teaching strategies, evidences progression against targets, and, where applicable, contributes to EHCP annual reviews to ensure the learners’ educational outcomes are addressed.

• Enable learners to achieve their aspirations and academic goals through guidance and support.
• Deliver effective teaching and learning strategies and support independent learning.
• Evidence progression against targets in negotiation with learners and colleagues.
• Contribute to EHCP Annual Reviews where applicable to ensure progression towards educational outcomes.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

To enable learners, through guidance and support, to achieve their aspirations and academic goals, by supporting classroom learning and working collaboratively with teaching colleagues.
To deliver effective teaching and learning strategies and to support the development of independent learning skills.
To evidence progression against targets set in negotiation with the learner and teaching colleagues to meet learning needs.
To contribute to EHCP Annual Reviews (where applicable) to ensure that progression towards educational outcomes is being addressed.
