Job summary

The Latimer Arts College in Barton Seagrave, Kettering, seeks a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Base Supervisor to support pupils with additional needs in a dedicated base. This role focuses on managing behaviour and enabling access to learning in a calm, supportive environment.

Hours are 31.25 per week across 38 weeks per year during term time; the post is permanent and part-time with an emphasis on collaboration, safeguarding and high expectations mirroring whole-school standards.

Qualifications

• Experience is desirable but not essential; patient and able to relate to students in a calm, supportive manner.
• Demonstrates commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and manage behaviour of pupils in the learning base, ensuring high expectations.
• Assist staff in delivering planned activities and maintaining a positive learning space.
• Contribute to pupil progress records and participate in safeguarding duties.
