Job summary

The Grange School in Aylesbury invites applications for Learning Support Assistants to join a Good School as Ofsted noted. This permanent post is 39 weeks per year, 8.15 am to 3.15 pm, term time plus staff training days, with a September/October 2026 start.

We seek candidates who can provide individual support and personal/pastoral care for students with physical and/or learning disabilities, with training provided. Visits welcomed; safeguarding and enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the needs of students with learning difficulties/physical disabilities.
• Experience working with students of secondary school age (education setting).
• Willingness to participate in safeguarding and DBS requirements.

About us

Judged to be a Good School by Ofsted in April 2024, we are a mixed, non-selective 11-18 Foundation secondary school situated in the market town of Aylesbury and ten minutes from the Chiltern Hills – an area of outstanding natural beauty. We require Learning Support Assistants to provide individual support and personal/pastoral care for students with physical and/or learning disabilities.

About you

It would be desirable for the successful candidates to have the following, however, training will be given:

• Knowledge of the needs of students with learning difficulties/physical disabilities
• Experience of working with students of secondary school age (preferably in an education setting)
