Job summary

The Education Network is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a SEN secondary school. We are seeking three LSA roles to provide 1-2-1 and class support for students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and Complex Needs.

You will work with an experienced team, with access to training and CPD, in a supportive environment that prioritises student welfare and development.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Learning Support Assistant qualification.
  • Experience supporting children with Autism or Complex Needs in education or care settings.
  • Comfortable delivering 1-2-1 and small group support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support for a child and young adults with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support teams to deliver the best possible support.
  • Support a range of SEN including Autism, Complex Needs, and Asperger’s.
  • Deliver interactions to students on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
  • Help manage behaviours and develop communication and confidence.
  • Record progress and report to the SENCO.

Job description

We love working with this SEN school and as a Learning Support Assistant we are sure you would too. You will be joining a friendly team who are seeking to recruit three LSA's to provide 1-2-1 and class support for secondary aged children with a range of special educational needs. This role requires Level 2 or Level 3 Learning Support Assistants who love working with children and young adults with special educational needs and who know a smile goes a long way.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be joining a lovely team who will not only provide support but will also welcome you from day one. This school has fabulous and is a place where both staff and students thrive. You will be working closely with an experienced teaching and support team who love what they do and who will provide the support you need to understand what is important to this school which is focused on putting the needs of the students first. You must have experience supporting children with Autism or Complex Needs in a education or care setting.

Job Role:
  • Providing tailored support for a child and young adults with special educational needs.
  • Working closely with an experienced teaching and support team to provide the best possible support.
  • Supporting a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Complex Needs, and Aspergers.’
  • Delivering interactions to students on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
  • Managing behaviours, helping the child to engage with lessons, develop communication skills and gain confidence.
  • Recording progress of the child and reporting to the SENCO.
