Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work across Warrington secondary schools. You will support students to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and help them reach their potential.

Work alongside teachers, SEND departments and pastoral teams to provide academic, emotional and behavioural support. Ideal candidates have experience with children, are patient and enthusiastic, and hold Enhanced DBS on Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Patience, empathetic and enthusiastic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to remain calm and adaptable in different situations.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • One-to-one support for students needing extra help.
  • Delivering small group intervention sessions.
  • Encouraging student engagement and participation in lessons.
  • Supporting Students with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and resilience.
  • Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Building strong working relationships with teachers, parents and pastoral teams.

Learning Support Assistant - Warrington Schools

Are you passionate about helping young people succeed both academically and personally? Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Warrington. We work closely with partner schools that regularly require enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants for a variety of long-term, temporary and daily supply opportunities throughout the academic year. These roles are ideal for experienced Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants, graduates considering a career in education, youth workers, sports coaches and individuals who enjoy making a positive difference to the lives of young people. As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential. You'll work closely with classroom teachers, SEND departments and pastoral teams to provide academic, emotional and behavioural support where it's needed most. Every day is different, making this an incredibly rewarding opportunity for candidates who enjoy building positive relationships and seeing students develop both inside and outside the classroom.
