Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. You will support pupils across primary, secondary and SEN settings, delivering 1:1 and small-group assistance within classroom learning and targeted interventions.

The role involves working with teachers to adapt learning, support routines, and help pupils stay engaged, building confidence and independence in line with individual plans.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is essential.
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.
  • A patient, consistent and professional approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Confidence supporting pupils individually and within groups.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils during whole-class lessons and independent activities.

Learning Support Assistant - Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire Support pupils to access learning, develop confidence and make progress across mainstream and specialist settings.

Learning Support Assistant opportunities supporting pupils across primary, secondary and SEN settings. Whole-class, intervention and 1:1 support available.

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity within education? A range of teaching support positions are available across primary, secondary and SEN provisions, supporting pupils through classroom learning, targeted interventions and 1:1 support. The position offers the opportunity to work within established school teams supporting pupils with a range of academic, behavioural, communication and additional learning needs. Depending on the setting, your day could involve supporting pupils during lessons, delivering targeted interventions, working alongside teachers to adapt learning or providing focused 1:1 assistance.
