Job summary

Exeter and North Devon College is seeking a dedicated Learning Support assistant to help students with learning and emotional needs, enabling them to thrive and gain independence. You may work 1:1 or in small groups, and some roles involve personal care support as required.

We offer term-time only contracts, with 18–30 hours per week and lessons scheduled 8:30am–4:40pm. The team values ambition, collaboration and energy, with a strong focus on student welfare and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4/C or higher.
• Positive, patient and caring approach.
• Desire to empower and support young people.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning/emotional difficulties to thrive in the classroom.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group assistance to promote independence.
• Assist with personal care or physical support where needed.
