Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking Learning Support Assistants to help learners with additional learning needs in partner colleges across the UK. This role involves supporting students 1:1 and in groups, aiding teachers to create an inclusive classroom, and safeguarding vulnerable learners.

Flexible full-time or part-time, term-time positions are available to suit study or personal commitments. Prior experience in education or care is valued, with safeguarding training and an enhanced DBS preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN children or young adults.
• Experience in education or care background.
• Knowledge of additional learning needs.
• Safeguarding training up to date or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and group support of students with additional learning needs
• Supporting teachers/lecturers to ensure an inclusive learning environment for SEN students
• Safeguarding of vulnerable learners
