Job summary

Choice Teachers is partnering with a friendly primary school in Bedford to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) on a full-time, term-time contract. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted interventions, support small groups and individual pupils with academic, social and emotional development.

The role emphasises inclusion and a safe, engaging classroom where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Essential qualification: NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning (RQF) or equivalent.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant in a primary school.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education practices.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff with structured learning activities across KS1/KS2.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Monitor and feed back on pupil progress and engagement.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in the classroom.
• Create an engaging, safe learning environment.
