Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy, is seeking a dedicated classroom support assistant to engage children across all age groups and abilities. You will work flexibly in 1:1 settings, lead small groups and provide general classroom support to teachers.

In this role you will assist with planning, differentiation and intervention strategies, supporting pupils with diverse needs including SEN and emotional or behavioural challenges.

Qualifications

• Ability to engage children across all age groups and abilities.
• Experience supporting teachers in 1:1 and small group settings.
• Experience working with children with SEN, behavioural or emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Support Teachers to enthuse students, inspiring learning and progress.
• Assist with planning, differentiation and preparation of intervention strategies.
• Provide 1:1 support, small group instruction and general classroom support.
• Promote well-being and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Establish supportive relationships with pupils to encourage questions and ideas.
