Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a named student in KS3/KS4 in a Greater London school. The role is contract-based until November, with potential extension, and requires safeguarding checks and DBS clearance.
You will provide tailored in-class support, help the student stay engaged, encourage independence, and work with teachers and staff to promote positive educational outcomes.
LSA Contract: Until November, with potential to extend Year Group: KS3/KS4 Support: Named student with low-level additional needs We are looking for a proactive and supportive Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a named student in KS3 or KS4. The student has low-level additional needs and requires an LSA/TA who can provide appropriate support and encouragement throughout the school day. The successful candidate will: Provide tailored support to the named student in the classroom Prompt and encourage the student when needed Help the student remain focused and engaged with their learning Encourage independence and confidence Use initiative to recognise when support is required Support the student without completing tasks or work on their behalf Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive and confident, with a good understanding of how to support students while promoting independence rather than dependence. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA/LSA looking to make a positive difference to a student's education and development. Contract: Until November, with potential for the role to be extended.
