Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a brand-new SEND provision in Uxbridge starting September. You will support learners with PMLD in a dedicated learning environment, helping them engage with education, build independence and achieve personal goals alongside experienced staff.

Learning Support Assistant – PMLDUB3 | 4–5 Days per Week | September Start

A well-established college is excited to be opening a brand-new site in the UB3 area and is looking to recruit a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join the team from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a purpose-built learning environment. You will play a key role in helping learners engage with education, build independence, and achieve their personal goals while receiving support from an experienced and dedicated staff team.

Working Hours:08:45 – 16:30 (hours may vary according to the timetable) 4–5 days per week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for learners with PMLD
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
  • Encourage participation, communication, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
