Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a Liverpool-based secondary school to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. You will work alongside teachers to support learners across KS3 and KS4, helping students access learning, manage classroom behaviour, and stay engaged in lessons.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a secondary school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teaching staff.
• A patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant on a short-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside teaching staff to provide classroom support, assist students with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help pupils remain engaged in their education.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in a secondary school or educational setting
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs is desirable
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teaching staff
• A patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people
