Learning Support Assistant - Southampton, Southampton

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a 'Good' SEN School based in Totton, Southampton, seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their support team. The school caters to children aged 2-19 years with moderate, severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties (MLD, SLD, PMLD).

The school operates across two sites, approximately a mile apart, divided into early years/primary and secondary/further education sections.

Due to the needs of the students, the successful candidate must be comfortable with feeding and personal hygiene duties when required.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children with special needs and eager to engage in creating a fun and safe learning environment. Responsibilities include floor work, arts and crafts, swimming, and other activities tailored to the students' needs.

This is a full-time, ongoing position starting ASAP, with options for temp-to-perm contracts for those seeking permanent employment.
