Job summary

City Academy Norwich is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students with diverse needs within the SEND Department. The role includes in-class support, small-group or 1:1 interventions, and work in specialist nurture spaces.

Applications welcome from aspiring teachers or those pursuing a career in education or the public sector. The position is permanent, term-time plus three weeks, 37.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to adapt and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Provide adaptive and personalised learning support for students with diverse needs.
• In-class support, small-group or 1:1 interventions.
• Work within specialist Nurture classrooms, the Cognition & Learning Base, or the SEMH Base.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required.
