Job summary

CER Education is recruiting a School Support Worker to join a Middlesbrough SEN school. This full-time, term-time only role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of £14.25–£17.29 per hour.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support to students aged 2–19 with SEN, help implement EHCPs, and work closely with teachers to deliver tailored interventions. A rewarding opportunity to gain experience in a specialist environment and contribute to students' learning and well-being.

Qualifications

• 3+ months experience in a support role or similar
• Interest or study in Psychology, Nursing or Sports Coaching is advantageous
• Ability to work with children with SEN and adapt approaches

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students aged 2–19 with SEN
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment to encourage engagement
• Assist with Implementation of EHCPs and ensure student well-being
• Support academic and social development, helping to build life skills
• Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students
• Assist with behaviour management within the classroom
• Support on school trips, outreach days and life skills sessions
