Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy, is seeking a flexible classroom support assistant who can work across all age groups and abilities.

You will support teachers in 1:1 interactions, lead small groups, and help with planning, differentiation and intervention strategies to assist every pupil.

This is a permanent role starting November 2026, 24 hours per week, term time only, with a salary of £15,019–£15,750 per annum (OLOL Band 3, NJC Points 6–9).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children across age groups and abilities.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Experience with SEN and behavioural/emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in 1:1 settings, small groups and general classroom tasks.
• Support planning, differentiation and intervention strategies.
• Encourage inclusion and the well-being of pupils.
