Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant in Bristol starting September 2026. You will support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 with one-to-one and small group tuition, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

This long-term, full-time role offers PAYE payroll, a supportive team, and valuable classroom experience for aspiring teachers or Education Psychology graduates.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school, college, youth work or similar setting
• Confidence supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• A good understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Experience supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, positive and proactive approach with a genuine passion for helping young people succeed

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential
• Work with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to support learning goals
