Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a two-day-per-week role at a two-form-entry school in Sutton Coldfield. You will provide 1-1 support for a reception pupil on Thursdays and Fridays, starting ASAP through July.

The pupil has undiagnosed special educational needs, is non-verbal, and requires a nurturing approach to aid development and classroom integration. You will need to recognise triggers and, when necessary, remove the pupil from the classroom to maintain safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Learning Support Assistant in SEN settings.
• Ability to provide 1-1 support for a reception child.
• Ability to recognise triggers and support safe classroom transitions.

Responsibilities

• Work 1-1 with a reception child on Thursdays and Fridays.
• Support development and classroom integration for a child with SEND.
• Recognise triggers and remove the child from the classroom when behaviours escalate.
• Collaborate with SENCO and leadership team to support pupil needs.

A 2 form entry school in Sutton Coldfield is looking for an experienced Learning support assistant to work across 1-1 Thursdays and Fridays with a reception child.

The child has undiagnosed special educational needs and is non verbal and needs a nurturing person to encourage development and integration into the classroom. The child can be become disregulated and the support assistant needs to be able to recognise triggers and remove the child from the classroom when behaviours can escape.

The suitable candidate will be supported fully by an experienced SENCO and a strong leadership team.
