Job summary

East Brent C of E Academy is seeking a dedicated role supporting pupils and assisting teachers in delivering engaging learning activities. You will help supervise pupils, promote inclusion, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities include implementing learning plans, monitoring progress, and assisting with curriculum activities while maintaining safety and good behaviour across school activities.

Qualifications

• Support for Pupils: supervise and provide support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Assist with development and implementation of Individual Learning Plans/Behaviour Management Plans or similar.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Set challenging expectations and provide feedback to pupils under teacher guidance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly environment in line with lesson plans and assist with display of pupils' work.
• Support pupils to achieve learning goals by liaising with the teacher and planning activities.
• Monitor pupils' responses and accurately record progress as directed.
• Provide detailed feedback to teachers on pupils' progress, problems and achievements.
• Promote good pupil behaviour and handle incidents following school policy.
