Job summary

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking Learning Support Assistants for term-time, fixed-term posts at Burton upon Trent. Roles range from 19.5 to 33 hours per week with salaries from £10,616 to £17,966 depending on department and hours. The contract runs until 31 August 2027 and includes an attractive benefits package.

Applicants should be willing to work towards Level 2 English and Maths, with evidence of qualifications required. Working day is 09:00–16:30, at the Town Centre Campus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support learners in Early Years as part of a 32.5-hour a week role.
  • Support learners in Performing Arts as part of a 26-hour a week role.
  • Support learners in Hair and Beauty as part of a 32.5-hour a week role.
  • Support learners on Apprenticeships as part of a 19.5-hour a week role.
  • Support learners in the Andrew Philips Unit for high needs learners as part of a 33-hour a week role.

Please be aware the roles are fixed term until 31 August 2027 at which point they will be reviewed for the new academic year beginning 1 September 2027.
