Job summary

The King Edmund School in Rochford is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team. You’ll work with pupils with additional needs, aiding them to access the curriculum and achieve their personal best.

You’ll collaborate with teachers and SENDCO, monitor progress, contribute to supervision at breaks, attend training, and uphold confidentiality. The role offers a nurturing, inclusive environment with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, as directed by the class teacher or SENDCO.
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
• Support pupils in developing independent learning and social skills.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to the supervision of pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
• Attend relevant meetings and training sessions to support professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the school's policies at all times.
