Job summary

The King Edmund School in Rochford is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to help pupils with additional needs. You will work closely with teachers to enable every student to access the curriculum and develop independent learning and social skills.

This role is part-time (25 hours per week, 42.8 weeks per year) and offers a supportive, inclusive environment with opportunities for professional development and safeguarding training.

  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Support pupils in developing independent learning and social skills.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Contribute to supervision of pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions to support professional development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the school's policies at all times.

The Role
