Job summary

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to support partner primary schools across Walton-on-Thames, Surrey and surrounding areas. Roles range from daily supply to long-term contracts designed to suit your circumstances.

You’ll work across Early Years through KS2, including 1:1 and small group intervention support, helping pupils with learning needs and supporting inclusive, engaging lessons. Competitive pay reflects experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum (preferred but not essential).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management.
• Support the well-being and academic progress of all pupils.

Academics is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support our partner primary schools across Walton-on-Thames, Surrey and the surrounding areas. Due to increased demand, we are looking to recruit both experienced LSAs and those new to the role who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
