Job summary

Academics is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support partner primary schools across Egham, Surrey and surrounding areas. Roles range from daily supply to long-term and permanent contracts, offering flexibility to fit individual circumstances and career goals.

Opportunities include EYFS, KS1, KS2 and 1:1 or small group support. A competitive salary is offered, dependent on experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management.
• Support the well-being and academic progress of all pupils.

Due to increased demand, we are looking to recruit both experienced LSAs and those new to the role who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
