Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in a nurturing educational setting. An immediate start is available, with weekly PAYE payments and benefits to support wellbeing.

The role focuses on supporting pupils with learning needs, building confidence, and promoting a safe, inclusive environment. Previous experience with children is preferred, with a calm and patient approach central to the work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting pupils with emotional or additional learning needs desirable.
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Confidence supporting anxious or needing additional reassurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and during learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with children who may experience anxiety or low confidence.
• Help pupils engage with learning and classroom routines.
• Provide emotional reassurance and encouragement where needed.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and interventions.
• Promote independence, self-esteem and positive behaviour.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
