Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in an educational setting. You will support pupils in classrooms and learning activities, building supportive relationships to help learners achieve their potential.

A calm, patient, nurturing approach and strong communication are essential to help pupils engage with routines and feel secure. Salary is dependent on experience and paid weekly through PAYE.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people is required.
• Ability to support learners with emotional or additional needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and during learning activities
• Build positive relationships with children who may experience anxiety or low confidence
• Help pupils engage with learning and classroom routines
• Provide emotional reassurance and encouragement where needed
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and interventions
• Promote independence, self-esteem, and positive behaviour
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
