Job summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our primary school team. The successful candidate will support students with diverse learning needs within the classroom, helping them access the curriculum, participate in activities, and develop their skills.

• Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
• Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
• Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adjust support strategies.
• Encourage independence and confidence in students.
• Maintain records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Previous experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential. Strong communication, patience, empathy, and teamwork skills are required. The role demands a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies, including passing all background checks such as an enhanced DBS.
