Job summary

Fairfields School in Northampton is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our community, caring for pupils aged 3–11 with special educational needs and sensory impairments. You will help pupils access learning in a nurturing, inclusive setting and work with supportive class teams.

We offer a thorough induction, specialist training, and a friendly environment where wellbeing is a top priority. The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week during 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children with SEND is helpful
  • We are seeking someone who is creative, reliable, resilient and patient
  • Good communication and ability to support independence are important

Job description

Fairfields School is a community day special school for pupils aged 3 to 11 years. The school meets the needs of pupils who have significant, severe, or profound learning difficulties and sensory impairments. Some of our children may have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. The school is situated in large well-maintained grounds close to the centre of Northampton. Work with us and you will be part of an ambitious team who want to make a real difference.

We are currently looking to appoint LSAs to join our amazing staff team.

Location: Fairfields School, Trinity Avenue, Northampton, NN2 6JN

Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (8:45am-3:45pm)

Salary Range: From £25614- £26016 FTE (Pro-rata £19352.02 - £19655.74 Actual)
