Job summary

Burpham Primary School in Guildford is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (1:1 and class based) to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. This is a term-time, fixed-term role for 1 year, starting ASAP. Hours are 8:30am–3:15pm, Monday to Friday, with a 31.25-hour week across 38.6 weeks per year.

There may be opportunities in breakfast/after school clubs. The successful candidate will have GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) and experience with children in a school or nursery setting, ideally

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Experience with children in a school or nursery setting is preferred.
• Experience with neuro-divergent children is desirable.
• Flexible, self-motivated, caring and patient with a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support both 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support the wider cohort and assist in class with KS1/KS2 timetables.
• Contribute to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
