Job summary

Stradbroke CE Primary School in Stradbroke, Suffolk, seeks a 1-to-1 Learning Support Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils with special educational needs during term-time. The role is 32 hours and 30 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–3.30pm, 38 weeks, with a 30‑minute lunch and lunch duty.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs in a school setting.
• Able to maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour.
• Good communication and teamwork with staff, parents, and pupils.
• Organised and patient with inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Support identified pupil(s) in Key Stage 2 during class activities.
• Assist with learning tasks and classroom routines.
• Support inclusion and positive behaviour management.
• Liaise with teachers and SENCO as needed.
