A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Southwark is seeking a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term position will run through to the end of the academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' education.
Provide in-class support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Work alongside teaching staff to adapt and deliver lessons to meet individual needs.
Offer one-to-one and small group interventions to promote progress in learning and personal development.
Implement and track Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist with behaviour management and promote positive behaviour strategies.
Monitor student progress and contribute to regular reports and reviews.
Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Experience supporting students with SEND.
Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (essential).
A professional, proactive, and patient approach to supporting student learning.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
