Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is seeking a dedicated assistant to support the teaching and learning activities at Newnham Primary. Working under the supervision of the class teacher, you will assist in delivering learning programs and ensuring pupils engage in activities led by the teacher.

You will help create a safe, orderly classroom environment, promote inclusive learning, and provide regular feedback on pupil progress. Experience with the National Curriculum is desirable.

Qualifications

• Under supervision, assist the class teacher to support teaching and learning activities.
• Promote inclusion and ensure equal access to learning opportunities.
• Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupils' progress and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals and small groups to deliver learning programs.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Ensure access to activities supporting physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children within the school.
