Job summary

Holy Trinity Church of England School in Crawley seeks an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support students in the classroom. The successful candidate will work flexibly with small groups or one-to-one, assisting with learning interventions and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Flexible, able to support small groups or one-to-one.
• Experience with learners with general or specific learning difficulties and/or medical/care needs.
• Professional conduct, dress and communication in line with the school's values.
• Collaborates with the Learning Support Team to uphold the school's mission.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students, including those with special needs, ensuring safety and access to learning.
• Set clear expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Provide feedback on progress under teacher guidance.
• Assist with Learning Guides, Student Passports and Personal Care Programmes.
• Build constructive relationships and interact according to individual needs.
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students.
• Encourage student interaction and participation in teacher-led activities.
• Deliver adaptive, flexible learning plans for students who struggle with large classes.
• Prioritise mental health, emotional regulation and SEN needs including EBSA.
