Job summary

Knutton St Marys CofE Academy, part of St Bart’s Multi‑Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our caring team as a teaching support assistant. You will work with teachers to support teaching and learning, helping pupils individually or in small groups within a warm, inclusive church‑school environment.

The role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs and language learners, assisting in lessons, and helping with resources and ICT as part of a committed staff team

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learning for individuals or small groups under teacher direction.
• Ability to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Ability to support pupils whose English is not their first language.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned learning activities with guidance from the class teacher.
• Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher.
• Support the teacher in monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour.
• Assist in arranging resources and using ICT to support lessons.
• Support pupils' social, emotional well‑being and inclusion.
