Job summary

St Bede's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Scunthorpe is seeking an adaptable classroom support assistant. The role covers 32.5 hours per week during term time, supporting teachers across age groups and abilities to foster inclusive learning environments.

You will engage with students individually and in small groups, helping plan and deliver interventions while promoting wellbeing and inclusion. A nurturing approach and safeguarding mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging children across age groups and abilities.
• Ability to work flexibly in 1:1, small groups and classroom support.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding of children.

Responsibilities

• Be caring and supportive, and committed to achieving excellent results.
• Support the Teachers to enthuse our students, inspiring their learning and progress.
• Assist with the planning, differentiation and preparation of intervention strategies.
• Promote the well-being of our students providing guidance and support.
• Establish supportive relationships with pupils, allowing them to feel valued and listened to and encouraging questions and ideas.
• Provide support for learning activities and monitor their effectiveness.
